JeffBen Systems ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Smart Tamizha mobile application and web platform (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information about you when you use our Service.

By using Smart Tamizha, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

We collect precise location data (GPS) when:

• You use the Live Map feature to track your bus in real time.
• You search for nearby bus routes or stops.
• A conductor updates live trip position via the Conductor Portal.

✅ We collect location only while you actively use location-dependent features. We do NOT track your location in the background or when the app is closed.

2.3 Payment Information

We process payments through PhonePe and Razorpay. We do NOT store card numbers, CVV, UPI PINs, or net banking credentials. We store only:

• Transaction ID / Order ID (for booking verification)
• Payment status (SUCCESS / FAILED / PENDING)
• Amount paid

2.4 Device & Technical Information

• Device model and operating system version
• App version
• IP address
• Session tokens (for authentication security)

3. How We Use Your Information

• Provide the Service — Book bus tickets, generate QR-coded e-tickets, process payments.
• Account Authentication — Secure sign-in via Clerk (Google, Phone OTP).
• Live Tracking — Display real-time bus location on the map.
• Ticket Validation — Enable conductors to scan and validate passenger QR tickets.
• Communication — Send booking confirmations and service alerts.
• Safety & Fraud Prevention — Detect and prevent unauthorised access.
• Service Improvement — Analyse usage patterns to improve features.
• Legal Compliance — Meet obligations under applicable Indian law.

❌ We do NOT use your data for targeted advertising, selling to third parties, or profiling for marketing purposes.

• Booking records retained for 3 years for legal purposes.
• Account data retained until you delete your account.
• Payment transaction IDs retained for 5 years per RBI guidelines.
• Location data is NOT persistently stored — used in real-time only.
• Session tokens expire after 30 days of inactivity.

All data is stored on secured servers with encryption at rest and in transit (TLS/HTTPS).

We share your data only in these limited circumstances:

• With payment gateways to process transactions.
• With bus operators/conductors — limited info (name, seat, ticket ID) for ticket validation.
• With law enforcement — if required by court order or applicable Indian law.
• With our service providers under strict confidentiality agreements.

7. App Permissions

All permissions are requested at the point of use. You can revoke any permission at any time in your device Settings.

8. Children's Privacy

Smart Tamizha is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at jeffbenofficial1@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.
